Dogra Law College organized 8th Matushri Inter – School Debate Competition on 26th of March 2019 on the topic “A Person with Criminal record should not be allowed to contest Election”. The debate competition which is an annual feature of Dogra Law College and is dedicated to all the mothers and motherhood. It is organized in the fond memory of Smt. Lakho Devi , respected mother of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak Former Minister and Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust. She was called “MATUSHRI” by the villagers of Bassi Kalan.

In all, 28 participants from 14 prominent Schools of Jammu participated in the contest.They expressed their views in a very articulated manner.Sh. Kulbhushan Khajuria –Assistant commissioner Revenue was the Chief Guest. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister & the Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust, presided over the function. Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Kr. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Trustee, Dogra Educational Trust, Col.Dr.K.N Padha Director Admn& Cd DET and Prof. V.P Magotra, Principal, Dogra Law College and principals of Dogra College of Education and Dogra Degree College were also present during the function.
