The Library Committee Of Dogra Law College Organized an Orientation cum Training Workshop on Supreme Court Cases (SCC) Database. SCC is the most cited and comprehensive law report by the Supreme Court of India and published by Eastern Book Company (EBC)-an acknowledged leader in the field of law publishing in India for more than 75 years.
The Library of Dogra Law College was one of the first Libraries in Jammu and Kashmir to be equipped with SCC Online to provide Judgements, Case laws, bareacts, articles etc.
The workshop was conducted in online mode by Mr. Mohit Singh, SCC Online Trainer- Learning Center Eastern Book Co. Pvt. Ltd. The workshop aimed at giving first hand information to the B.A LLB (5yrs) and LLB(3yrs) course students about accessing SCC Online. Students and faculty members were explained the steps to find case law by section, browsing law reports and judgements.
The session was very enlighting as it gave an Opportunity to explore the range of E-resourses available in Dogra Law Library. Among them present were Dr. Darshana Sharma, Director DGC, Dr. Komila Aggarwal, Principal-in-charge, DLC and faculity members of DLC. Ms. Sonika Anand, Librarian, DLC coordinated the session and proposed a Vote of thanks to Mr. Mohit Singh on-behalf of the faculty members and students. The workshop was very informative and fruitful for the academic endeavors of the student as well as faculty members.
