Dogra Law College organised an extension lecturer on Human Rights Day. The theme of the Lecture was “Human Rights and its Relevance.”
Dr. BinduSangra, Asstt Professor, The Law School and Public Information Officer, University of Jammu, was the resource person who enlightened the students about the importance of Human Rights. She further awared the listeners that this year marks the 73rd anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. She emphasized on the concept and importance of rights all Human Beings are born with and stressed on the proper enforcement of these rights through appropriate enforcement agencies like NHRC, SUPREME COURT AND HIGH COURT.
In addition to these the resource person Dr. BinduSangra enlightened the students regarding the relation between the Part III of Indian Constitution i.e. Fundamental Rights and Human Rights.
Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak , Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust appreciated Dogra Law College for organizing Extension Lecture on Human Rights Day. In addition, he laid down stress and gave special importance to these extension lectures which help in adding knowledge to Law students.
Vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Shuchi Sharma, Asstt Professor, Dogra Law College and the programme was compered by Ms. HummeraFirdous students of B.ALL.B 5 Years Course 5th Semester .
