NSS Unit of Dogra College of Education organized an inter-college online essay writing competition on 23th of September 2020 on the eve of birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji. The theme of the occasion was “the contribution of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji in education during his rule”. The programme was held under the supervision of Mrs. Amarjeet Kour NSS Programme Officer, Dogra College of Education and Mrs. Vintee Kumari, Lecturer, Dogra College of Education.
Thirteen colleges participated in this inter-college essay writing competition. Among those who participated in this competition were Chenab College of Education, GDC Billawar, New Millennium National College of Education, B.M.S Institute of Para Medical Sciences, SKIMS Agricultural University, Jammu, Calliope College of Education, Cluster University, GDC Sidra, Dogra Degree College and Dogra Law College. Students of various colleges expressed their view and contribution of Maharaja in education.

Poonam Sharma of B.M.S Institute of Para Medical Sciences secured first position, second position is secured by Jasreen Chouhan of SKIMS and third position is secured by Hummera Firdous of Dogra Law College.

Kr. Samar dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra educational Trust and Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra college of Education appreciated the efforts of the participants of various colleges. Dr. Shefali Sharma, Academic Coordinator, Dogra College of Education also applauded the efforts of the participants.
