A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was today signed between Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) and Dogra Group of Colleges-Dogra College of Education, Dogra Law College and Dogra Degree College to bolster mutual benefit and frequent interactions between these organizations.
Now these organizations will jointly organize literary fests to promote the language and culture, cooperate with eachother in promoting social and cultural activities from local to global level.
The MoU also included actions to provide relief measures during pandemics and disasters, promotion of communal harmony by celebrating festivals of all communities collaboratively, promote Dogri Language collaboratively as per National Educational Policy-2020.
It will also help in promotion and preservation of historical monuments, heritage, art and culture of Duggar land, prohibition of juvenile delinquency, discourage drinking and smoking, women empowerment and promotion of girl child education and to organize events on social-legal aspects.
They also agreed upon to promote the values in a multifarious sphere of activity so that the students develop a sense of patriotism as responsible citizens and jointly organize seminars and symposiums on the topics of mutual inerest and promote awareness among the masses about relevant legal provisions.
The MoU was signed between Col. Karan Singh Jamwal (Retd.), vice president DSS and Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra College of Education; Dr. Avdhesh Pratap, Principal Dogra Law College and Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal Dogra Degree College in the presence of Col. Virendra K Sahi, Vir Chakra (Retd.), convener DSS Media Cell, Dr. Shefali Sharma, IQAC Coordinator, as witnesses for Dogra College of Education and others.
Speaking on the occasion DSS president, Gulchain Singh Charak said that DSS has always been at the forefront in maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood in J&K.
Senior DSS member Advisory Council, Maj. Gen. Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, 96, (Retd.) said that Dogra group of colleges and DSS can mutually stand for promotion of Dogras and Dogras culture.
