Dogra College Of Education Organizes Orientation-cum-workshop on Career Counselling and self employment in collaboration with depeartment of Life Long Learning, University Of Jammu for the Students of B.ED Course Semester 2nd and 4th on 14th of June 2023. The program started with the presentation of Sapling to the resourse person and and lighting of Traditional Lamp by the Dignitaries followed by the welcome address. In session 1, Introductory Lecture on ":Importance of career Counselling for achieving career goals and developing strategies for career planning.
In session 2, the resourse person Dr. Harleen Kour, Sr. Asst. Proffesor, Deptt. of commerece university of Jammu, delevired Lecture on "Self Employment Opportunities". She elaborated the importance of self employment and how to start one's own business. She threw light on various government schemes and startup plans and strategies. she expleined various self employment ideas to start the business like - App development, Baking/cooking, web development editing and proof reading for young generations to earn their livelihood and live independently.

The workshop was followed by Question-Answer session.

Prominent among other present on this occasion were Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Prof. Darshana Sharma, Director Dogra Group Of Colleges and CD, Dr. Shefali Sharma, IQAC/Academic Coordinator, Dogra College Of Education and all the faculity members. A vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Shivali Mehta, lecturer Dogra College of Education, who thanks the esteemed resourse persons for conducting an effective workshop. The programme concluded with playing of the National Anthem.
