NSS unit of Dogra College of organized Community Outreach Programme on the occasion of “World No Tobacco Day '' under the theme “Quit Tobacco to save our planet” on 31st of May, 2022 in Dollian Village. Awareness rally along with placards & charts was organized in the Dollian village. Wherein, B.Ed. IV Semester student teachers spread awareness among the public on the harmful effects of tobacco on dental and general health. On this occasion, student teachers also performed the skit and aware the community about the consequences of the chewing tobacco and smoking on human health and environment. Students teachers spread the message in the society “Quit Tobacco to save our planet”. A large number of local people were present over there to watch the skit and they also came to know about the effects of eating and chewing tobacco on their health. Approximately 40 student teachers participated in the said event under the supervision of NSS programme officer Mrs. Amarjeet Kour. Dr. Darshana Sharma, Director Dogra Group of Colleges congratulated the staff and the student teachers for organizing such type of awareness programmes for the welfare of the society. Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra College of Education appreciated the student teachers for putting valuable efforts for organizing awareness programme.
