Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahmana, Samba in collaboration with 91.9 Red FM organised awareness campaign to avoid single use plastic on 09th June, 2023 highlighting the theme of World Environment Day 'Beat Plastic Pollution'. The resource persons for the day were Mr. Deepak (EP), RJ Sarang, RJ Anchita, Mr. Mahikshit (Music Manager) from RED FM.

RJ Sarang and RJ Anchita awared the students regarding limiting the use of single use plastic and not to forget to crush the plastic bottle after using them. Mr. Mahikshit entertained the students with a song which was made by them regarding the theme of the World Environment Day limiting the usage of single use plastic bottles and using other bottles instead of them. They also encouraged the students to discard the use of plastic bottles by distributing aluminium bottles among them. The speakers were able to influence the young learners to join hand and take initiative to make their environment plastic free. The students showed great enthusiasm and actively participated in the deliberations of the awareness program. It was a fruitful knowledge sharing experience for the students of Dogra Degree College & Dogra Law College.

The program earlier started with the welcome address by Ms. Palak Gupta (Convener Eco-Warriors Club) Dogra Degree College and the vote of thanks was moved by Ms. Sonia Gupta (Faculty BBA Department). The main motive behind the celebration of this day was to encourage the students, who are the young blood and future of the Nation, to contribute in environment conservation. Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust appreciated the initiative taken by Dr. Bela Charak, Principal Dogra Degree College for conducting this event.
