NSS Unit of Dogra Degree College in collaboration with Arts department organized an event to mark “Dr B. R Ambedkar Jayanti” on17th April 2023 at Dogra Degree College Conference Hall. The Principal of the College gave the welcome address and welcomed all the guests and participants. Ms Rohini Saini (Assistant Professor, Department of Political science)also highlighted the theme of the symposium and the relevance of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in present-day situations.
Ms Priyanka Sharma (NSS, Programme officer)focused on the life of Dr. Ambedkar and stated that Dr. Ambedkar was a man of many talents and professions. She added that for Dr. Ambedkar, direction is more important than distance. she shed light on the struggles of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and his contributions to resolving the economic and social issues of Indian society at his time.
Participants recited a poem on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar covering his life and work effectively. They emphasized the efforts taken by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in making our Constitution based on the foundation of equality, fraternity, and liberty. Participants will be given certificates according to their merit. The event was organised under the guidance of Ms Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College. Ms Priyanka Sharma presented the vote of thanks and all the staff members took efforts for the successful completion of this program.
