Dogra Degree College Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, under the aegis of Dogra Educational Trust gave a fond send off to the outgoing students of 2019-22 and 2018-21 batches on 28th July, 2022. The felicitation cum farewell party was celebrated with lot of fervor at college auditorium. The gathering provided both the teachers & students an opportunity to have Interaction on a wide range of issues including their future pursuits. The outgoing students reminisced about the past, expressing their gratitude for everything from education to personality development and grooming to face challenges of life.
The Vibrant event was started with the pious lamp lighting, by Chief Guest Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman DET, Guest of Honor, Dr Darshana Sharma, Director DET, Kr. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee, Dogra Educational Trust, Ms. Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College.
The program further proceeded with Ganesh Vandana by the juniors. Thereafter, there was a spate of dance, music, songs and laughter as the hosts impressed with the showcasing of their vast repository of skills. While addressing the gathering Principal, Dogra Degree College wished luck to the outgoing batch and motivated the students to horn their technical skills for being market ready, sticking to moral grounds and working hard to achieve their goals. The juniors namely Ritika and Group from B.A Semester 4th, Bhavya and Group from B.Com Semester 2nd, Dilpreet and Amit from BBA Semester 4th gave colorful Performances to their seniors. The performances included Solo songs and dances. The audience was enthralled by melodious musical performance by the infinity band which included Agnishekhar on the guitar accompanied by singers – Udayveer, Rohin, Rahul, Rupakshi & Hansika.
Some of the outgoing students having fun and frolic on the stage and on the basis of different rounds they were given titles. The evening saw the crowning of Mr. Gundeep Pal Singh student of BBA 6th Sem and Ms. Arvi Khursheed Khan student of B. A 6th Sem (Batch 2019-22) were given the titles of Mr. and Ms. Dogra Degree College and Mr. David Singh Dogra student of B.com and Ms. Janvi Gupta student of B. A (Batch 2018-21) were given the titles of Mr. and Ms. Dogra Degree College respectively as chosen collectively by the Judges:- Ms. Priyanka Sharma, Mr. Rinkal Gupta & Ms Kirti Sharma. Meritorious student namely Ishika Raina of BBA from 2018-21 batch who scored 7th position in Annual University Examination was given cash prize of Rs.5000/-. The hosts for the day were Mr. Jatin Sharma and Mr. Chiranjeev Singh of B.A 2nd Sem.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and Chairman Dogra Educational Trust was the Chief Guest of the occasion. The Chief Guest, in his address applauded and appreciated the talent exhibited by the students. He wished the passing batch success for their future endeavors. He emphasized on the fact that Dogra Educational Trust stands for promotion of quality and inclusive education for all and is not a profit making organization. Kr. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee, Dogra Educational Trust, wished all the best to the outgoing students for success and accomplishments in all their future endeavors and uphold their core values and congratulated the faculty and the students for putting up a memorable event for the outgoing batch. The function was full of enthusiasm. It helped to create warm environment between juniors and seniors. The annual magazine, ‘Nostalgia: A Retrospection’, of Dogra Degree College, was also released.
The faculty of Dogra Degree College coordinated beautifully and made this event a success. The vote of thanks was moved by Ms. Aditi Khajuria and the event winded up with the National Anthem.
